Infectious Diseases

Infectious diseases are one of the major causes of death worldwide with a continuous increase in demand for effective tools for clinical diagnosis. The determination of antibodies to pathogens or the pathogen (antigen) itself is the basic tool in infectious disease serology for the examination of the presence and progression of the disease and individual immune status. HUMAN provides a broad range of reliable, state-of-the-art assays for the diagnosis of infections with viral, bacterial and parasitic agents. Our range of tests includes assays for:

  •  ToRCH - a group of pathogens (Toxoplasma; Rubella, Cytomegalo, Herpes simplex viruses) causing only mild maternal infections, but with potentially serious consequences for the foetus
  • STDs (Sexual Transmitted Diseases) a group of diseases that is among the five most important disease types affecting adults seeking health care in developing countries; parameters include HIV, Hepatitis, Syphilis, Chlamydia
  • Regional or endemic diseases with initially mild or symptomless courses, but serious consequences in the chronic phase: Dengue, Chagas, Borreliosis
